City Culture Peterborough is managed by City College Peterborough on behalf of Peterborough City Council to deliver cultural and heritage services to those people who live in or visit the city.
City College Peterborough was founded in 1944 and has successfully been providing adult learning ever since to enhance lives and provide skills to promote the wellbeing and the local economy. Originally known as the Peterborough Adult Institute, the college changed its name in 1970 to become Peterborough College of Adult Education. At the same time, the college found its new home at Brook Street, in the heart of the city. In 2010, the college became City College Peterborough – as we know it today.
