Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery is one of the city’s most historic buildings and is just a four-minute walk from Queensgate Shopping Centre. This Georgian mansion has served as a museum for over 70 years; eight permanent galleries display inspirational historical and cultural objects. The ground floor has a café and two main exhibition spaces providing a dynamic programme of changing exhibitions for heritage and arts. Whether you are a family, community group, individual or school, we are sure you will find something to enjoy.
Our preview event is now sold out but you can still enjoy our Urban exhibition by booking general admission tickets when it opens to the public on 11th December 2021 to 29th May 2022.
Featuring original works by major international artists including Banksy, Damien Hirst, My Dog Sighs, the Connor Brothers, Pure Evil, Blek le Rat and more.
Some of the items have rarely been exhibited in the UK before. It will include the unique Banksy cottage from Merrivale Model Village in Norfolk. Other events and activities linked to the exhibition are planned over the coming months including an art trail and workshops with local street artists. The headline sponsor is Cross Keys Homes.
The exhibition opens to the public on 11th December. General admission is £8 for over 18s, £5 for youngsters aged 12-18 and is free for under 12s.
