Flag Fen sits amid a unique Bronze Age landscape that has revealed a mysterious timber causeway and ritual platform made by people 3,300 years ago. More than 60,000 upright timbers and 250,000 horizontal planks are buried under the ground along with many swords and personal items given as offerings to the watery fen.

Peterborough’s library service runs 10 physical sites, a mobile library. These services allow customers to borrow books (including e-books, e-magazines and audiobooks) and use the internet for free.

Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery is based in Priestgate. Georgian building has served as a museum for over 70 years. It has two upper floors of galleries which display inspirational historical objects, from Roman artefacts to Jurassic fossils.
